The stage is set for Pitch CMO Summit. The two-city initiative will be launched on March 1 in Delhi, followed by Mumbai on March 6. Based on the theme ‘Entertainment: All the world’s a stage in marketing’, the Summit will showcase some of the best initiatives by marketers and brands, in India and globally, to build an emotional connect through entertainment.
Some of the distinguished speakers will be Anil Dua, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Hero Motocorp; Mansi Tripathy, Chief Marketing Officer, Shell Lubricants India; Ranjivjit Singh, CMO, HP PPS India; Sashi Shankar, CMO, Idea Cellular; Sandeep Aurora, Director Marketing, Intel South Asia; Shafalika Saxena, Chief Marketing Officer, Microsoft India; Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Infomatics; SP Shukla, President Group Strategy and Chief Brand Officer, Mahindra; and Viral Oza, Marketing Director, Nokia India.
The keynote address in Delhi will be given by Dua. He will throw light on ‘Blurring lines between entertainment and persuasion’, while Aurora will speak on ‘Getting the segmentation right, from street theatre to multiplexes’. Saxena will address the topic of ‘Marketing being a performance art’ and Shubhodip Pal will talk on thee ‘Four Cs of entertainment’.
The Mumbai Summit will have Oza speak on the ‘Four Cs of Entertainment: conduit, convergence, consumption and content’, along with Shukla addressing the issue of ‘Bringing one’s brand to life: The experiential route. Tripathy will be speaking on ‘Marketing on the fast track, and Shankar will touch upon ‘Brand ambassadors and music’.

Anil Dua, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Hero Motocorp is responsible for Hero MotoCorp’s entire gamut of marketing and advertising execution, sales growth and extensive dealer network, exports, after-sales operations and the spare parts business. Dua has also worked in multinational giants such as Unilever and Gillette.
Mansi Tripathy, Chief Marketing Officer, Shell Lubricants India has worked with Procter and Gamble for 16 years and spent time in Mumbai, Singapore and Boston. She has recently joined Shell Lubricants, India.
Ranjivjit Singh, CMO, PPS, HP India has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience, with his career spanning across industries including technology, telecommunication, consumer products and FMCG. He is now responsible to lead marketing for the company’s printing and personal computing portfolio spanning across consumers, businesses, governments and society.
Sashi Shankar, CMO, Idea Cellular has been spearheading the marketing and branding initiatives of Idea Cellular, since May 2011. He has over 32 years of experience in sales management and business operations spanning diverse sectors such as paints, consumer durables, industrial chemicals, consumer products and telecom.
Sandeep Aurora, Director Marketing, Intel South Asia is responsible for driving the Intel brand and defining market growth strategies for all of Intel’s products and technologies in the South Asia Region. He has been with Intel for 14 years. With a total work experience of over 20 years, he has also worked with HCL Technologies.
Shafalika Saxena, Chief Marketing Officer, Microsoft India was earlier the Vice President, Board of Governors for American Embassy School. She is the Founding Thinker For Th!nk India where she worked for more than two years. She has been the Global Vice President Brand Development for Unilever and the Founder of Better Botanicals Inc where she has worked for over 10 years. She was also the Marketing Manager, Cola Portfolio for PepsiCo and has also been a Brand Manager at Procter & Gamble for six years.
Shubhodip Pal, Chief Marketing Officer, Micromax Infomatics is currently leading all the marketing efforts of the company globally. In his 16 year-career spent at globally renowned brands such as Samsung, ABN AMRO, HP and Blyk, Pal has earned several national and international industry recognitions.
SP Shukla, President Group Strategy and Chief Brand Officer, Mahindra is a Member of the Group Executive Board at Mahindra Group and as President is responsible for Group strategy. He is also the Chief Brand Officer for the Mahindra Group. He serves on the boards of several Mahindra Group companies in different sectors.
Viral Oza, Marketing Director, Nokia India joined Nokia in Aug 2008. Oza is responsible for growing the market share, building the Nokia brand and driving marketing initiatives across consumer touch-points for Nokia in India. With over 16 years of experience with Unilever in India and overseas, his previous assignment was as Category Director, Skin Care for Africa, Middle East and Turkey. He was associated with Unilever’s deodorant business for many years, where he headed the marketing for Axe Deodorant across Asia.
