NDTV has been honoured at the recently held ‘Asian Viewers’ Television Awards in the UK. NDTV won both awards in the news categories at this year's AVTA, with NDTV 24x7 being judged as the UK’s News Channel of the year.
NDTV’s Group Editor and Senior Anchor Barkha Dutt won the Best Asian News Presenter award.
Speaking on the occasion, Vikram Chandra, CEO, NDTV Group said, “NDTV is not just number one in India but in the UK as well. We are very proud to have been awarded the Best News Channel by the Asian Viewers Television Awards. The fact that we were nominated and voted as the winner by our viewers, once again emphasizes their trust in our credibility.”
The annual award ceremony was held to honour the best of Asian Television in the UK. All the 9 award categories were completely nominated by the viewers.
