Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited has announced that its Board of Directors, during a meeting on June 10, 2026, approved raising a minimum of ₹2,300 crore in one or more phases.
The funds will support the company's strategic and business initiatives.
The board also decided to further deliberate on additional fundraising options.
The meeting commenced at 4:00 PM and concluded at 4:45 PM. This move highlights Zee's focus on strengthening its financial position and driving growth through strategic investments.
The capital raise follows closely on the heels of Zee's landmark acquisition of exclusive FIFA media rights in India through 2034, securing coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and future tournaments for one of football's largest audiences globally. Expanding its sports portfolio further, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (Z) has also secured exclusive television rights for India's upcoming cricket tour of Zimbabwe.
