Jagran New Media, the digital arm of Jagran Group (Jagran Prakashan Limited), is shifting several employees to its parent company as part of an internal restructuring exercise, according to sources.

The move is aimed at controlling costs and reducing losses, with salaries of these employees now being paid directly by Jagran Prakashan Limited. Some employees have already begun receiving payments from the parent entity, sources said.

Those impacted have been informed, and the transition is being viewed as part of efforts to streamline operations and make the digital business more cost-efficient. At the same time, insiders indicate that a number of employees, including some in senior roles, have been asked to exit.

Industry observers say the restructuring comes amid rising competition and revenue pressures in the digital media space. The company has not issued an official statement so far.
