Binoy Prabhakar has stepped down from his position as Chief Content Officer at Hindustan Times Digital. He shared the update through a LinkedIn post, calling it a privilege to have led the digital arm of a publishing house with a 100-year legacy.
In his post, Prabhakar wrote that the day marked his final day at Hindustan Times Digital and expressed pride in the work he achieved alongside his team during his tenure.
Prabhakar joined Hindustan Times in April 2023 as Chief Content Officer and spent close to three years overseeing the company’s digital content operations. Prior to this, he served as Editor at Moneycontrol from March 2020 to April 2023. His earlier roles include Editor at CNBCTV18.com between 2018 and 2020 and Deputy Executive Editor – Special Projects at Network18. He also spent more than 11 years with The Economic Times.
His departure comes at a time when HT Media is reshaping its digital news leadership and structure. The company is transitioning to an entity-led business model in response to changing audience habits, the rise of AI-driven content consumption, and evolving traffic trends.
