Print advertising of the shampoos/ conditioners category grew by a whopping 121 per cent during January-October 2010, as compared to the same period in 2009. Torque Pharmaceuticals advertised the maximum for shampoo/ conditioner brands in print, while Pantene Pro V Nourished Shine gathered the maximum share of all new shampoo/ conditioner brands advertised in print during this period.
The overall Print industry has witnessed a 27 per cent growth in ad volumes according to the latest AdEx figures, since last year and in this Education was the top sector in print advertising. Educational Institutions despite the strict ASCI mandates as been the highest category in shares in the advertised volumes and Naaptol.com has been the number one advertiser for the Jan-Sep 2010 span.
Print ad volumes of the retail sector grew by 31 per cent during January-August 2010, as compared to January-August 2009. Independent retailers category accounted for two-third of retail sector advertising in print. Pantaloons Retail India Ltd occupied the top position in this sector during this period.
