BARC Week 14: Star Sports 1 Hindi takes the top spot, Dangal slips to second position
The week 14 data is here and there has been a major reshuffle
Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) has published TV ratings for week 14 on its website. The duration of the week is from March 20 - March 25, 2019. There has been reshuffle of positions between Dangal TV and Star Sports 1 Hindi. Dangal had clinched the top spot on week 13 but has now slipped down to second spot with 1101407 impressions. Star Sports Hindi 1 is now in first position with 1116236 impressions across genres. But Dangal has managed to stay put at the top in the Hindi GEC and Hindi GEC Rural genre. Star Plus obviously continues to be the favourite in the Hindi GEC urban with 430733 impressions. Sony Entertainment takes the second spot as was observed on week 13.
The top 5 program category for Hindi GEC has 'Mahima Shanidev Ki' on Dangal take the top spot with 11358 impressions. The second position is taken by yet another show aired on Dangal 'Ramayan'. The order was reveresed on week 13. Zee TV's 'Kumkum Bhagya', 'Kundali Bhagya' take the third and fourth spots respectively while Colors' Naagin makes an entry at No.5.
Dangal's 'Mahima Shani Dev Ki', ''Ramayan, Sai Baba' and 'Bandini' take the top four spots in the Top 5 programs category in the rural section. The fifth spot went to Big Magic 'Maharakshak Aryan'. In the top 10 channels category, while Dangal tops it with 845200 impressions, Big Magic is on the second spot with 533329 followed by Zee TV, Star Plus, Colors, Sony Entertainment Television, STAR Bharat, Sony SAB, Sony Pal. Star Utsav has usurped DD national from the 10th position this week.
As for Hindi movies, Enterr10 mediaEnterr10 media takes the top spot with 240546 impressions followed by B4U Movies and Sony Max.
The top 5 programs in the urban market are 'Kumkum Bhagya' with 5745 impressions, 'Kasauti Zindagi Kay' with 6081 impressions, 'Kulfi Kumar Bajewala' with 6021 impressions, 'Kundali Bhagya' with 5825 impressions, and 'Naagin' with 5729 impressions.
As for Hindi movies, Sony Max beats Star Gold to take the first position on week 14 with 256190 impressions. The second spot went to Zee Cinema followed by Star Gold, Movies OK, and &pictures. Despite being an IPL season, it was Zee Cine Awards and Sarrainadu and Tiger Zinda Hai on Sony Max that ranked higher than the league matches.
