Just days after his stand-up special Still Alive shattered records as the most-liked comedy special globally and is spear heading toward becoming one of the most-watched YouTube comedy videos of all time, Samay Raina has dropped major updates.

While on a month-long break after the success of Still Alive, Samay conducted a quick Ask Me Anything session on his Instagram stories. When a fan directly asked him about working with Ranveer again, Samay replied simply with “Collab soon.”

In his recent special Still Alive, Samay had been quite vocal about the India’s Got Latent controversy. He jokingly referred to Ranveer as “the monk who sold his Ferrari,” blamed him as one of the root causes that led to removal of all episodes of the show, and made several other sharp, crude jokes about the fallout. The remarks were part of Samay’s honest and emotional recounting of the difficult period that followed the backlash.

Interestingly, when Ranveer Allahbadia was recently asked by paparazzi for his reaction to Still Alive and the jokes aimed at him, he gave a cheeky response: “Kaun Samay? My time is now.” The playful dig added another layer to the ongoing back-and-forth between the two creators.

Another follower jokingly asked when he would break the internet next, the comedian dropped the date that is May 3, leaving fans buzzing with speculation about what the surprise could be.

What’s next for Samay Raina?

Samay Raina is next set to appear on Vaibhav Munjal’s podcast, where he is expected to share more details about his future plans. The larger question, however, remains whether he can replicate the response seen with Still Alive.

He has also given updates on India’s Got Latent’s season 2 saying that he will start planning after his current break.

With expectations now set and a specific date announced, attention is firmly on what May 3 delivers, and whether it marks the beginning of a new phase in his content strategy.
