  • Cheil X has appointed Tania Sinha as the head of its Delhi office, following the resignation of Kanika, who left the position after a brief tenure.
  • Sinha joins from Ogilvy, where she served as Category Lead for Sparkling INSWA, bringing experience in managing global brands to her new role.
  • Geetika Chadha, previously with Reckitt, has been appointed to lead Cheil India's influencer marketing division, emphasizing the agency's commitment to integrating creator-led campaigns into broader marketing strategies.
  • These leadership changes reflect ongoing competition among advertising agencies for senior talent and the importance of maintaining strong client relationships in key markets like Delhi.

Cheil X has appointed Tania Sinha to lead its Delhi office, while Geetika Chadha, who was most recently associated with Reckitt, is set to lead the agency’s influencer marketing division for Cheil India, according to people familiar with the developments.

Sinha joins Cheil X from Ogilvy, where she served as Category Lead, Sparkling INSWA, working with global brands. Her appointment comes after Kanika resigned from Cheil X in August, just months after being elevated from vice president to head of the agency’s Delhi operations.

Chadha’s appointment to lead influencer marketing signals a parallel focus on strengthening the agency’s capabilities in creator-led campaigns, content and brand engagement, as advertisers increasingly look to integrate influencer marketing into their wider communications strategies.

Cheil did not comment on the development.

Leadership change follows Kanika’s exit

Kanika’s departure came shortly after Cheil X announced a leadership reshuffle in January 2026, under which she was elevated to head the Delhi office. At the time, the agency had said the move was intended to strengthen leadership across key markets and support the expansion of its integrated marketing capabilities in India.

In her role, Kanika was responsible for leading the Delhi operations and driving regional business growth. Her exit, reported by exchange4media in August, left the agency facing another change in leadership at the office.

The appointment of Sinha is expected to provide fresh leadership for the Delhi market as Cheil X continues to build its integrated marketing proposition across brand strategy, creative, commerce, customer experience and performance marketing.

Sinha moves from Ogilvy

Before joining Cheil X, Sinha was with Ogilvy as Category Lead, Sparkling INSWA, a role involving global brands. Her move brings experience from a large agency network into Cheil X’s leadership structure.

The appointment comes amid heightened competition among advertising agencies for senior talent, particularly professionals who can combine strategic planning, client leadership and integrated marketing expertise.

For agencies, leadership appointments in individual markets are also important to maintaining client relationships and expanding business mandates. Delhi remains a key market for national advertisers, with agencies competing for mandates across categories including consumer goods, technology, retail and services.

Cheil X, part of Cheil SWA Group, has been building its presence across creative, digital, commerce and experience-led marketing. The agency has positioned its integrated model around bringing multiple marketing capabilities together under one roof.

Chadha to lead influencer marketing

Chadha’s appointment adds a dedicated leadership focus on influencer marketing at Cheil India. She joined Reckitt as Content Strategist in March 2023, having previously worked at Mindshare as a partner.

Her professional experience spans consumer understanding, content-led solutions and brand communications. Before Mindshare, she worked with organisations including GroupM, Mindshare Worldwide, Havas Worldwide, Iris Worldwide, Webchutney and Bates Enterprise.

The influencer marketing business has become an increasingly important part of the advertising ecosystem as brands seek to reach audiences through creators, social platforms and content formats that can complement conventional media investments.

For integrated agencies, the challenge is increasingly to connect influencer-led content with broader brand strategy, media planning and measurable business outcomes, rather than treating creator campaigns as standalone social media activities.

Chadha’s appointment is expected to strengthen Cheil India’s focus on this area as advertisers look for more integrated ways to deploy content and creator partnerships across the consumer journey.

The two appointments come amid continuing senior-level movement across advertising agencies, with networks restructuring leadership teams and investing in capabilities that span traditional creative, digital marketing, commerce and creator-led communication.
