  • Accenture has appointed Emma Chalwin as its new Chief Marketing Officer, a position that has been vacant since December 2022.
  • Chalwin brings extensive experience from leading technology companies, including Workday, Salesforce, and Adobe, and is recognized as a "proven growth leader" by Accenture CEO Julie Sweet.
  • In her role, Chalwin will focus on enhancing Accenture's global brand and marketing strategy, particularly in the context of artificial intelligence's impact on business growth.
  • She succeeds Jill Kramer, who left Accenture to join Mastercard, and her appointment aligns with Accenture's emphasis on AI and technology in its growth strategy.

Accenture has appointed technology marketing veteran Emma Chalwin as its Chief Marketing Officer, filling the position that has remained vacant since December.

Chalwin joins the professional services and technology major with extensive experience across leading technology companies, including Workday, Salesforce and Adobe.

Accenture CEO Julie Sweet described Chalwin as a “proven growth leader” with the ability to translate emerging technologies into client value and business impact.

In her new role, Chalwin will be responsible for building on Accenture’s global brand and marketing strategy at a time when artificial intelligence is reshaping how organisations approach growth.

“I am honoured to join Accenture and to build on the legacy of its brand at a time when organisations are reimagining growth in the age of AI,” Chalwin said in a LinkedIn post.

Chalwin most recently served as CMO at Workday, where she led the company’s global marketing operations and focused on positioning AI as a driver of business growth.

Before Workday, she spent several years at Salesforce, progressing from a marketing leadership role in London to San Francisco, eventually serving as Executive Vice President of Global Field Marketing.

Her earlier career includes a stint at Adobe, where she was Director of Brand Marketing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She has also held roles at technology companies and marketing firms including McAfee and Macrovision.

Chalwin succeeds Jill Kramer, who left Accenture in December to become Mastercard’s Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, succeeding Raja Rajamannar. In the interim, Accenture Song’s Creative Strategy and Experience Lead Nick Law had overseen the marketing function.

Kramer had spent around a decade at Accenture, including four years as CMO, during which the company significantly strengthened its brand value. Accenture’s brand value reached $20.9 billion and the company entered Interbrand’s Best Global Brands ranking in 2025.

Chalwin’s appointment comes as Accenture continues to place AI and technology at the centre of its growth narrative, making her experience in technology marketing particularly relevant to the company’s next phase of brand building.
