NDTV has reported a wider consolidated loss in the third quarter of FY26 despite strong growth in income, as operating expenses rose at a faster pace.

For the quarter ended December 31, 2025, consolidated revenue from operations stood at Rs 150.4 crore, up 23.0 percent quarter-on-quarter from Rs 122.3 crore in Q2 FY26. On a year-on-year basis, revenue increased 13.3 percent from Rs 132.7 crore in Q3 FY25.

Total consolidated income for the quarter rose 21.8 percent QoQ to Rs 152.2 crore from Rs 125.0 crore in the preceding quarter. On a year-on-year basis, total income grew 13.5 percent from Rs 134.2 crore in Q3 FY25.

Total expenses increased to Rs 227.0 crore in Q3 FY26, up 14.7 percent sequentially from Rs 197.9 crore in Q2 FY26 and higher by 20.9 percent compared with Rs 187.7 crore in the year-ago quarter, driven by higher programming, employee and operating costs.

As a result, loss before tax widened to Rs 80.1 crore in Q3 FY26, compared with a loss of Rs 72.7 crore in the previous quarter, reflecting a 10.2 percent QoQ increase. On a year-on-year basis, loss before tax expanded 48.7 percent from Rs 53.9 crore in Q3 FY25.

Net loss after tax stood at Rs 80.3 crore during the quarter, higher than the Rs 74.0 crore loss in Q2 FY26, marking an 8.4 percent sequential widening. The loss also increased 44.7 percent year-on-year from Rs 55.5 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.

Nine-month performance

For the nine months ended December 31, 2025, NDTV reported consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 380.3 crore, up 12.5 percent year-on-year.

Total income for the nine-month period rose 13.3 percent YoY to Rs 389.8 crore.

The company reported a consolidated net loss of Rs 224.6 crore for the nine-month period, widening 44.0 percent compared with the corresponding period last year, as costs remained elevated.
