Currently serving as the COO of Initiative and Managing Director of Magna at Initiative, part of IPG Mediabrands, Sharma has played a key role in driving innovative media solutions. Under his leadership, Initiative Media has become synonymous with data-driven strategies and impactful marketing campaigns, solidifying its place as a powerhouse in the advertising world.
Before joining IPG Mediabrands, Sharma held a significant role at Bharti Airtel Ltd., where he served as Head of Media. His tenure at Airtel saw him leading major developments in media strategy, planning, buying, deployment, ROI measurement, and marketing budget management. His contributions were pivotal in establishing Airtel’s strong media presence and brand positioning in a competitive telecom landscape.
Prior to Airtel, Sharma worked with leading media agencies, handling prestigious brands such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Gillette, Johnson & Johnson, and GSK. His expertise in media planning and buying, coupled with his strategic vision, made him a key figure in the marketing domain.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Sharma is an active contributor to the media industry, serving on important boards and committees. He is a part of the Advisory Board of iMedia Summit, the Advisory Board of TechCrunch, the Technical Committee of the IRS, and the Media Committee of ISA.
