As Kerala prepares for the State Assembly Elections on April 9, 2026, Radio Mango has rolled out a unique, people-centric campaign titled ‘Paattum Paadi Vottinu Pokaam’, which translates to "Sing a song and go out to vote" celebrating the spirit of voting through stories and music.

Known for its deeply engaged and politically aware population, Kerala has always viewed voting as more than a civic duty. From travelling long distances to even flying in from abroad just to cast a vote, Malayalis attach strong emotional value to the act — and every voter has a story to tell.

Building on this insight, the campaign invites listeners across the state to share their personal voting experiences — from first-time voting memories to inspiring journeys to the polling booth.

In the run-up to the elections, Radio Mango’s Breakfast Show teams will step out of studios and into constituencies across Kerala, interacting with people on the ground and capturing these real “Vote Kadhakal (vote stories).” These stories will be aired across all stations, each paired with a song chosen by the participant, adding a personal and emotional layer to the narrative.

The initiative blends storytelling with music to transform everyday voices into powerful reminders of civic responsibility. Select moments from these interactions will also be amplified across all shows, extending the campaign’s reach.

With ‘Paattum Paadi Vottinu Pokaam’, Radio Mango reinforces the message that voting is not just a right, but a responsibility — bringing Kerala’s voices from the streets to the airwaves in a celebration of democracy.
