BJP leader and Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya has made headlines with his controversial statement in the media regarding deaths and illnesses caused by contaminated water in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. However, he later expressed regret for his statement. Senior journalist Harshvardhan Tripathi, in a post on his social media handle, X, stated that this issue is not just about apologies.
He wrote, "Kailash Vijayvargiya finds it unnecessary to question the deaths of people from drinking toxic water in a city consistently touted as the cleanest in the country." He apologized after the video surfaced, but the truth is that Kailash Vijayvargiya has repeatedly made such statements, and therefore, he is called a "serial offender."
His foul language and irresponsible thinking are already well known, so this isn't just a case of apology. Throughout this episode, Anurag Dwari performed his duty as a journalist, and it's worth noting that he worked for NDTV India, which is now owned by the Gautam Adani Group. Unfortunately, neither the BJP nor the public is able to punish such a person severely. The public elects him, and the party appoints him as a minister. This situation is extremely unfortunate.
Let us tell you, at least 8-10 people have died so far and hundreds are seriously ill due to poisonous water in Bhagirathpura area of Indore, but when NDTV journalist Anurag Dwari questioned him on this, Vijayvargiya used objectionable words and gave a reply like 'Don't ask useless questions', the video of which went viral on social media.
