- Senior journalist Mihir Ranjan has resigned from Bharat Express, where he served as Managing Editor since July 2022.
- Prior to Bharat Express, he held the position of Managing Editor at India Daily Live and contributed as Consulting Editor, overseeing digital properties.
- Ranjan has extensive experience in the media industry, including roles at ABP News, Republic Bharat, and TV Today Network, and has worked in journalism for over 15 years.
- He is a graduate of the University of Delhi and the Indian Institute of Mass Communication, with additional training as a Defence Correspondent.
Senior journalist Mihir Ranjan has resigned from Hindi news network Bharat Express, according to sources familiar with the development. He had joined the channel in July last year and was serving as Managing Editor.
In his role, Mihir Ranjan was leading the channel’s editorial strategy and overseeing output operations.
Before joining Bharat Express, Mihir Ranjan was associated with Hindi news channel India Daily Live as Managing Editor, where he oversaw all the channel’s digital properties. Alongside this, he was also contributing strategic inputs to the television channel in the role of Consulting Editor.
Prior to India Daily Live, he was part of ABP News, where he resigned from the position of Associate Vice President before pursuing a digital media course at Indian Institute of Management Indore.
Mihir Ranjan spent nearly two years with ABP News after joining the network as Output Head in May 2020. Following this stint, he moved to India Daily Live before beginning his journey with Bharat Express last year.
A seasoned television journalist, Mihir Ranjan has worked across several leading media organisations. Before ABP News, he was associated with Republic Bharat and was also part of the launch team of Republic TV, where he served as Output Editor for Republic Bharat.
He also had a long stint with TV Today Network, spanning nearly 14–15 years, during which he worked on several key programmes. In addition, he spent close to five years with news agency United News of India, handling reporting and desk responsibilities in both Lucknow and Delhi.
Originally from Bihar, Mihir Ranjan graduated from University of Delhi and studied at Indian Institute of Mass Communication. He has also completed a Defence Correspondent course.
The Bharat Express management did not respond to queries till the time of filing this report.
