He currently serves as Managing Editor at Times Now Navbharat, the Hindi news channel of the Times Network, where he plays a pivotal role in shaping the channel’s editorial strategy and content.
With over two decades of experience, Kumar has had a long and diverse career in Hindi news, progressing from production roles to key editorial leadership positions. He began his career as a producer and senior producer at prominent news organisations such as News24, Star News, and AajTak, where he mastered the intricacies of newsroom operations.
Kumar has held significant responsibilities at Mahua TV and News Nation as Executive and Output Editor. A notable phase of his career was at News State, where he worked as CEO and Editor, making substantial contributions to content strategy and organisational growth.
Adapting to the evolving media landscape, Kumar has also worked in digital and radio sectors. As Digital Head at MY FM, he focused on multi-platform content integration, strengthening his digital expertise. He has also served as Group Editor at National Voice, further expanding his editorial leadership credentials.

Originally from Nawada, Bihar, Kumar completed his education at Patna University. Rising from a modest background to a top editorial position in national media, his journey serves as an inspiration for aspiring journalists.
