Navika Kumar to continue prime-time show alongside Times Group Editor-in-Chief role

- Navika Kumar has been appointed as the Times Group Editor-in-Chief while continuing to anchor her prime-time show on Times Now during weekdays.
- The internal announcement highlights her significant contributions to Times Now and the successful launch of Times Now Navbharat over the past two decades.
- In her new role, she will also introduce a podcast and provide mentorship to the Times Group's content creation and editorial teams.
- Kumar, with over 35 years of experience in journalism, will remain based in the NOIDA office and report to the Managing Director and Group CEO of The Times Group.
Navika Kumar will continue anchoring her prime-time show weekdays on Times Now even as she takes on her expanded responsibilities as Times Group Editor-in-Chief, according to an internal note announcing her new role.
“We are pleased to announce that Navika Kumar has been elevated to a Group role as Times Group Editor-in-Chief. Over the past two decades, Navika has had a key contribution in the growth and stellar leadership of Times Now, and also in the launch and the rapid ascent in a short period, of Times Now Navbharat. She has not only steered both newsrooms through complex and high-stakes environments, but has also built a culture of sharp, impactful journalism that resonates across the country and beyond,” stated the note.
In her new role, Navika will continue to anchor her prime time show weekdays on Times Now (at 9 pm), introduce a much-anticipated podcast, as well as mentor and advise Times Group's content creation and editorial teams. With her three-and-a-half-decade experience in the news industry and multiple recognitions and awards, she will continue to be a key leader of Brand Times Now. She will continue to be based out of the NOIDA office and will report to Mr Vineet Jain, Managing Director and Mr N. Subramanian, Group CEO, The Times Group, it mentioned.
