Sanjay Singh returns to active media; joins Loksatya as Senior Resident Editor

Senior journalist Sanjay Singh has returned to active media after a five-year hiatus.

Speaking to Samachar4media, Singh revealed that he has joined the Lucknow edition of the Hindi newspaper "Loksatya" as Senior Resident Editor. The group's chairman, Rahul Sharma, appointed him to this position at the Delhi headquarters. He will begin his work in the first week of February.

Sanjay Singh previously served as media manager for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's PR team in Delhi. He joined this position in 2020 after retiring from active media.

Earlier, Sanjay Singh was working as a political editor in 'News1India' channel.

Sanjay Singh has nearly thirty years of experience in journalism. Originally from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, he was educated in Gorakhpur. He earned his MSc (Chemistry) from Gorakhpur University.

Sanjay Singh began his career in journalism with Dainik Jagran, Gorakhpur, in 1990. After serving for nearly six years at Dainik Jagran, he left and began a new career with Rashtriya Sahara, Gorakhpur, in 1996.

In late 2004, he was appointed special correspondent in the Delhi bureau of Rashtriya Sahara, covering key beats such as the Prime Minister's Office, Parliament, the Railway Ministry, Congress, and Defense.

In 2018, he left Rashtriya Sahara and joined News1 India. He then began a new career as a media manager with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's PR team in Delhi and has now returned to active media.  

Sanjay Singh completed a two-month special correspondence course from the Ministry of Defense in 2005. Besides journalism, Sanjay Singh is also passionate about writing. He has published 10 books so far, two of which were released during the lockdown. Two of his books have been awarded prizes by the Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan.

Furthermore, he has served as Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Treasurer of the Press Club of India. He is also the National President of the Indian Working Journalists Association.
