Senior media professional Prasanna Raghav is set to return to Zee Media. According to reliable sources, he will take charge as Business Head (New Initiatives). Raghav has previously held key responsibilities within the Zee Group.
He recently resigned from Associated Broadcasting Company Pvt. Ltd. (TV9 Network), where he served as Senior Vice President and Head of Branded Content for nearly six years. March 10 was his last working day at the organisation.
Raghav joined TV9 Network in 2020 and played a role in building and strengthening the network’s branded content and native advertising ecosystem. During his tenure, he contributed to shaping a consultative, content-led sales approach while aligning editorial priorities with content marketing strategies. In April 2024, he was promoted to Senior Vice President.
Over the course of his tenure, Raghav was involved across the branded content value chain. His responsibilities ranged from developing communication strategies for partner brands at the pre-sales stage to overseeing execution and post-sales servicing. He worked with government institutions, corporates and multinational brands, and industry observers note that he was part of teams involved in advancing early content-commerce integrations within the broadcast news space.
Prior to TV9 Network, Raghav held senior leadership roles within the Zee Group. At Zee Media, he served as Deputy Vice President (Strategy), where he was responsible for revenue strategy across the news network and DNA. Earlier, at Zee Entertainment, he led the Innovation Studio, focusing on content-led branded solutions and new advertising formats.
Raghav began his career in journalism, working in editorial roles at The Times of India and The Indian Express, and earlier as a reporter with Oman Tribune.
