Senior journalist Shamsher Singh has been appointed Managing Editor for Hindi and Vernacular Languages at the Times TV Network, according to sources familiar with the development.
Prior to this, Singh was associated with Network18 as Group Consulting Editor, bringing with him over two decades of experience in television journalism and newsroom leadership.
Singh began his career with Aaj Tak and went on to hold key editorial roles across leading Hindi news networks. Over the years, he has served as Political Editor at India TV and later moved to Zee Media, where he played a significant role in shaping the editorial direction of Zee Hindustan and several regional channels.
He also served as Managing Editor at Republic Bharat, where he was closely involved in steering editorial strategy and programming. Most recently, Singh was associated with India Daily Live as Editor-in-Chief, overseeing newsroom operations and content strategy.
At the Times Group, Singh is expected to strengthen the organisation’s Hindi and vernacular editorial footprint at a time when regional language news consumption continues to grow across platforms.
