Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh launched a special internship program in collaboration with Sansad TV and the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC).
The initiative aims to enhance media education and foster collaboration between academia and the media industry by providing IIMC students with practical experience in parliamentary broadcast media.
Students will gain insights into journalism and the professional media environment while working with Sansad TV, focusing on parliamentary journalism.
Singh emphasized the importance of credibility and trust in journalism, urging reporters to uphold high standards in their reporting.

Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh recently launched the first special internship programme launched in collaboration with Sansad TV and Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC).

This initiative is being considered an important step towards strengthening media education and industry-academia collaboration.

The program aims to introduce IIMC students to the workings of parliamentary broadcast media, the practical aspects of journalism, and the professional environment of the media industry. Students will also have the opportunity to work with Sansad TV and gain a closer understanding of parliamentary journalism.

During the programme, Harivansh Narayan Singh said that the biggest strength of the media is its credibility and trust, hence journalists should maintain the highest level of credibility in reporting.

Amit Khare, Secretary to the Vice President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Sansad TV, was also present on the occasion. Dr. Pragya Paliwal Gaur, Vice Chancellor of IIMC, faculty members, and other officials also attended the event.
