Veteran journalist Anurag Varma has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Advisory Wing of the Editors Club of India. 

Varma has made a significant contribution to the fields of digital and television media. From reporting to the role of editor, he recognised the various facets of reporting and digital content and converted them into information for audiences.

He started his career with Zee TV in 1995, where he shouldered major responsibilities while ensuring balanced reporting in public and national interest. 

He served at DD News from 1997 to 2000, during which Anurag Varma brought numerous reports on national politics, administration, and public-interest issues, establishing him as a trusted news professional.

Varma contributed to Reliance Communications from 2000 to 2007, where he played a key role in the organisation by balancing television news and digital media.

He served at The Times Digital from 2007 to 2024 as an Editor. During this period, Varma enriched digital content through his experience, understanding, and vast knowledge. He highlighted several national issues through digital media across various social platforms and Times Group websites.

Anurag Varma also had an association with Zee Digital as Senior Editor, where he proved his mettle amid changing media scenarios. He is currently working for some leading media houses as a consultant and appearing on several news channels as a political analyst.
