Rajesh Upadhyay has stepped down from his role as Editor-in-Chief at Jagran New Media.

He was associated with the company for close to 10 years, having joined in 2016. During this time, he helped strengthen the organisation’s digital presence and worked on improving content strategy, digital journalism, and innovation.

One of the key initiatives during his tenure was the launch of Vishvas News, a fact-checking platform focused on tackling misinformation.

In August 2024, Upadhyay was promoted to Executive President, where he took on wider responsibilities within the organisation.

Speaking to Samachar4Media, he shared that he will soon start a new phase in his career and will announce more details later. His departure comes after some speculation about his role in recent months.

With over three decades of experience, Upadhyay has worked across print as well as digital media. Before joining Jagran New Media, he held senior positions at HT Media and DB Corp.
