Almost four months after the controversial takedown of India’s Got Latent, comedian Samay Raina has pulled off what fans are calling a quiet but smart revival of the show. Without any grand announcement or promotional blitz, the show has returned—this time not on the original channel, but through a new YouTube page titled India’s Got Latent Clips. The subtle comeback has caught the attention of diehard fans, who were quick to spot the new page and begin circulating links.

The show had earlier landed in a controversy after a controversial episode featuring podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, who made an inappropriate remark to a contestant that referenced their parents. The segment sparked massive online backlash, leading to multiple legal cases filed against Allahbadia, Raina, Ashish Chanchlani, and Apoorva Mukhija. As a result, the show was removed from its original platform.

But now, the show’s essence lives on. The new India’s Got Latent Clips page, which remained private until recently, quietly became public and is now home to over 500 videos. While some content is restricted to members only, the available public videos have been enough to reignite fan enthusiasm. The page currently boasts nearly half a million subscribers—proof that the loyal audience never really left.

The chessboard moment with Aamir Khan

The buzz around Raina’s comeback got an unexpected boost recently when a clip featuring Bollywood actor Aamir Khan playing chess with the comedian went viral. Khan, who is currently promoting his upcoming film Sitare Zameen Par, beat Raina in the game—but fans were quick to note that Raina “won with his content.”

Here's the reel:

In the reel, Hardik Pandya is seen saying, “Love your show,” while a hotel staffer enthusiastically reminds Samay Raina about relaunching Latent to showcase his talent. The reel casually features cricketers Ravichandran Ashwin and Jasprit Bumrah, adding to its star power.

Despite the controversy, Raina hasn’t shied away from the spotlight. Instead, he’s taking his comedy global. His international comeback tour kicked off on June 5 in Cologne and will conclude on July 20 in Sydney, covering the UK, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Announced earlier this year, the tour is being seen as a full-circle moment—proof that Raina’s appeal goes far beyond viral reels and podcast drama.

The comedian hasn’t directly addressed the India’s Got Latent controversy in detail, but the quiet revival of the show and his growing international footprint suggest a steady rebuilding. The bigger question now is—will brands place their bets on Samay Raina again?
