Namita Vikas leaves Yes Bank to launch her own endeavor in ESG & Sustainable Finance

Namita Vikas has quit Yes Bank as Senior Group President & Global Head, Climate Strategy & Responsible Banking. She has been with the bank for more than eight years.

Joined in the year 2012, Vikas has led the bank to set up its Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG), Responsible Banking and Sustainable Finance Practice to raise over a billion dollars towards the bank’s Green Bonds and Social Capital.

Moving forward, she will play an advisory role with an international, investor-focused firm, working solely on mobilising the $100 trillion bond market for climate change solutions. She will also set up her own advisory & enabling firm to offer multiple products and services to mainstream ESG, Climate & SDG Finance.

Her new company will focus on bringing finance and sustainability together progressively and meaningfully, with risks, opportunities and returns at the core.

Vikas is a senior business leader with 30 years of diverse global experience in climate change strategy and sustainability across sectors including Banking, Technology & FMCG, with particular focus on sustainable finance, ESG & climate risks management, climate related financial disclosures, design thinking & innovation, public policy & corporate citizenship.
