Top brands advertising on WPL 2 live matches included Hero Vida V1, H&M, JioCinema, Apar Anushakti and World Gold Council

TAM Sports has released a Commercial Advertising Report on the Women's Premier League 2024, capturing the ad volumes observed during the league’s second season. The report examined live matches on 6 Star Network Channels. It excluded pre-mid-post programmes. The analysis considered only pure advertising, i.e. it excluded franchisees, promos, filler and film trailers.

The report states that 45+ categories, 35+ advertisers and 70+ brands advertised on WPL in 2024. Two-wheeler and car brands had shown particularly high interest in the season, followed by fashion and e-commerce. 

The top 5 categories included Two Wheelers with a 12% share, Cars (7%), Retail Outlets - Clothing, Textiles, Fashion (7%), Wires & Cables (6%) and E-commerce - Media, Entertainment, Social Media (5%). 

The top 5 advertisers included Hero Motocorp with a 9% share, Bank of Baroda (8%), Tata Motors (7%), H&M Hennes & Mauritz India (7%) and Reliance Jio Infocomm (5%). 

The top 5 brands on WPL included Hero Vida V1 (8%), H&M Hennes & Mauritz (7%), JioCinema App (5%), Apar Anushakti (4%) and World Gold Council (4%). 

The season saw participation by 5 teams: Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bengaluru and UP Warriorz. Led by Smriti Mandhana, Royal Challengers Bengaluru had won WPL’s season in 2024. 

The third season of WPL is set to begin on February 14, 2025.
