Television journalist Kumud Ahlawat has joinined the Hindi news channel Jantantra TV. She has taken charge of the channel’s digital team as an editor.
Prior to this, Ahlawat held a key position at Lallantop, from where she resigned in May this year to focus on her own media venture. She led content and show production while managing anchoring, shift coordination, and overall operational workflow in the digital space. In a conversation with Samachar4Media, she stated that she will continue to manage her venture alongside her responsibilities at Jantantra TV.
Ahlawat brings nearly two decades of experience across some of India’s leading news networks. She has worked with Zee News, Times Now Navbharat, and AajTak, holding significant roles in content and production.
Her longest tenure was with Zee News, where she rose from trainee to production head. During her time there, she collaborated with senior editor Sudhir Chaudhary on shows such as DNA. She also directed formats like RJ Raunak Ka Show and Bhai vs Bhai, a debate series featuring the Poonawalla brothers.
Following Zee News, Ahlawat spent over a year at Times Now Navbharat, managing the production of debate shows such as Sawaal Public Ka, hosted by senior journalist Navika Kumar. She later joined AajTak, again working with Sudhir Chaudhary, overseeing the production of the prime-time show Black and White.
