Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Honda) has announced the appointment of Toshiyuki Yanagisawa as the new President & CEO of Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) w.e.f. October 1, 2026.
Toshiyuki Yanagisawa, Operating Executive of Honda is currently heading India Strategic Development Office and is also the CEO of Honda Digital Innovation India Pvt. Ltd. (HDII). In his new role, he will jointly lead HCIL and HDII.
Toshiyuki Yanagisawa among his previous global assignments has also worked in India at HCIL and possess a strong understanding of India’s automotive market, its consumers and the business environment.
The current President & CEO of HCIL - Takashi Nakajima will move to regional headquarters in Asian Honda Motor Co., Ltd. after completing his India tenure.
