The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has announced Vijay Sankar as President-Elect of FICCI for the year 2026-27.
Currently the Senior Vice President of FICCI, Sankar will succeed Anant Goenka as President of the apex business chamber at the conclusion of FICCI Annual General Meeting and Annual Convention, which is scheduled for 18-19 November 2026 in New Delhi.
Sankar is the Chairman of The Sanmar Group (headquartered in Chennai, India).
He is an Independent Director on the Boards of TVS Motor Company Limited and Larsen & Toubro Limited. He is also the Chairman of Chemplast Sanmar Limited.
Sankar is also Vice President of the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association (TNTA).
