Anay Gupta has been re-elected as President of the All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) for the 2026-27 term. The election was held unanimously during the first meeting of the newly elected Managing Committee following the association’s Annual General Meeting.

Gupta, who has been associated with the rubber industry for more than three decades, will serve a second consecutive term as president. He has been a member of AIRIA’s Managing Committee since 2017 and has previously served as Chairman of AIRIA (Natural Rubber).

Focus On Industry Challenges

During his second term, Gupta is expected to continue engaging with stakeholders on issues affecting the Indian rubber industry, including raw material availability, competitiveness and changing trade conditions.

The association will also focus on the growth of the MSME segment and concerns across both tyre and non-tyre sectors as businesses respond to changes in global markets.

Gupta’s continued tenure comes as the domestic rubber industry seeks to strengthen supply capabilities while responding to evolving international trade dynamics.

Gupta’s Industry Experience

Gupta has spent more than 30 years in the rubber industry and has been involved with AIRIA’s industry and policy initiatives over several years.

His association with the organisation includes membership of its Managing Committee since 2017 and leadership of AIRIA (Natural Rubber).

His second term will continue his involvement in policy advocacy and engagement with stakeholders across the sector.

New Managing Committee

Alongside Gupta’s re-election as President, K. Ganesh has been elected Senior Vice President of AIRIA.

Vinod Bansal will continue as Vice President. The appointments were made at the first meeting of the newly elected Managing Committee after the association’s Annual General Meeting.

The leadership team will oversee AIRIA’s engagement with industry stakeholders during the 2026-27 term.

Priorities For New Term

Gupta said the Indian rubber industry is navigating evolving market conditions, global trade shifts and new opportunities for growth.

“I am deeply honoured and grateful to the members of AIRIA for reposing their trust in me for a second consecutive term,” Gupta said.

He added that AIRIA would work with stakeholders to strengthen industry competitiveness, support innovation and address concerns across the tyre and non-tyre segments.

The association’s priorities for the new term will include industry competitiveness, raw material availability, trade developments and support for the MSME segment.
