OOH 2011 Awards: Top honours for Mudra Max, Philips

The inaugural e4m & n2m OOH Awards saw Mudra Max being adjudged OOH Agency of the Year. Philips walked away with the OOH Advertiser of the Year.

OOH 2011 Awards: Top honours for Mudra Max, Philips

Winners of the first ever e4m & n2m OOH Awards were announced amid drum beats, blowing of vuvuzela-like horns and loud cheers of a capacity crowd in Delhi on February 25, 2011.

Awards were given out in over 20 categories for OOH 2011 Awards, based on innovation, success and various other paradigms. Gold, Silver and Bronze awards were given away in each of the categories. However, there were some categories where no award was given as the jury didn’t find anyone suitable. Winners were chosen after an exhaustive process by prominent members of the industry, who formed the jury.

Philips was adjudged OOH Advertiser of the Year. Reacting to the win, Amit Tiwari, GM & Country Head (Media), AMO, Philips, said, “I think it is a fantastic initiative taken by exchange4media. For the outdoor industry, it is really very encouraging. In coming years, it will nurture good amount of respect in the industry.”

Dressed in red tees, team Mudra Max was cheering the loudest – and not without reason. The agency not only bagged the maximum awards, but was also declared OOH Agency of the Year.

Commenting on the excellent performance by the agency, Pratap Bose, CEO, Mudra Max, said, “We are thrilled to win the OOH Agency of the Year award. The real credit goes to the entire team of Mudra Max.”

Applauding the initiative taken by e4m and n2m, Bose said that a great response was seen in the first edition of the Awards, not only in terms of audience turnout, but also in terms of the entries. “I think over a period of time, these Awards will become more popular,” he added.

Meanwhile, upbeat about the agency’s performance, Nandita Chalam, VP and Senior Creative Director, JWT, remarked, “We are very happy that we won these Awards, especially in the first edition of the Awards organised exchange4media. We are happy with our client Ajay Kakar (CMO – Financial Services, Aditya Birla Group), who has always pushed us to win many awards in many different regions.”

She further remarked that it would be nice if more creative agencies could be represented at the Awards.

OOH Media Owner of the Year award went to JCDecaux, while the award for Valuable Contribution to the OOH Industry was bagged by Naresh Vasudeva, Director, Pioneer Publicity. Haresh Nayak, MD, Posterscope India, was declared OOH Professional of the Year, while the Special Mention Trophy was given to US Sharma, MD, US Advertising, and Piyush Tiwari of Advert Group, for associating with the Awards.
