As part of the new leadership team at JioStar, Arnab Das will oversee the linear TV business for Colors Rishtey. He will be a part of the team under Alok Jain, who will head the entertainment cluster for the Reliance-Disney joint venture.
Before his appointment to the new team, Arnab Das was the Senior Vice President & Business Head - Colors Rishtey & Colors Gujarati Cluster.
He also held the position of Senior Vice President & Head - Content Strategy & Consumer Insight - Colors & Colors Rishtey, where he headed the content strategy for Viacom18’s Hindi General Entertainment Channels.
Das held that position at Viacom18 for 13 years, being responsible for content planning, including the commissioning of new on-air shows and their promotions. He managed key internal and external stakeholders to drive viewership for the network’s channels.
Previously, Das has also held several business and strategy positions at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited.
Das’s appointment is part of a leadership overhaul following the recent joint venture between Reliance Industries Limited, Viacom18 Media, and The Walt Disney Company.
