- Chopra has led THR India since its launch in September 2024 and will transition to a role that allows her to explore other creative opportunities while contributing to RPSG's portfolio.
- Sneha Menon Desai, currently Deputy Editor and part of the founding team, will succeed Chopra as Editor effective October 1, 2026.

Anupama Chopra has stepped down as THR India Editor. She will continue her association with RPSG Lifestyle Media as an Advisor after stepping down from her role as Editor of The Hollywood Reporter India.
Chopra, who has led THR India since its launch in September 2024, will now work on select editorial and creative projects, initiatives and intellectual properties across RPSG Lifestyle Media’s portfolio.
As part of the leadership transition, Sneha Menon Desai, currently Deputy Editor and a member of THR India’s founding editorial team, will take over as Editor effective October 1, 2026.
RPSG Lifestyle Media said Chopra’s new role will allow her to contribute to projects where her editorial experience, creative perspective and industry relationships can add value, while also giving her the flexibility to explore other creative ventures and professional opportunities outside the group.
Avarna Jain, Chairperson, RPSG Lifestyle Media, said Chopra had played a key role in shaping THR India’s identity and building its editorial foundation and credibility.
“While Anupama has chosen to step away from the Editor’s role, we are delighted that she remains keen to continue her association with us in a wider creative and editorial capacity,” Jain said.
Chopra said building THR India had been an “enormously fulfilling chapter” and added that she felt it was the right time to step away from the day-to-day responsibility of being Editor and explore a wider range of creative interests and opportunities.
She also said she looked forward to contributing to special projects, editorial ideas and IPs across the RPSG Lifestyle Media portfolio.
Debashish Ghosh, CEO, RPSG Lifestyle Media, said the group sees opportunities for Chopra to contribute beyond a single title or operating role through special editorial projects and IPs across its portfolio.
