"If we don’t bid for the next cycle of ICC rights, we can comfortably sit it out, and it won’t make a dent in our business." Sports bodies have been capitalising of the fear of missing out that media companies face about broadcasting rights but that is not the case anymore, said JioStar vice-chairperson Uday Shankar said in an interview with India today.

"If we don’t bid for the next cycle of ICC rights, we can comfortably sit it out, and it won’t make a dent in our business,” Shankar was quoted as saying.

He also spoke about the "flexibility to move wisely" as the newly formed joint venture between Disney and RIL has creative assets "across drama, movies, reality shows, Indian cricket and international cricket".
