Utpal Chowdhary has been appointed as Consultant Editor at Rashtra TV in Goa, bringing over 30 years of journalism experience.
He has held senior editorial positions at notable Indian news organizations, including Aaj Tak, Star News, ABP News, and India TV.
Prior to joining Rashtra TV, Chowdhary served as Chief Managing Editor at Sapphire Media Group, which operates multiple media platforms.
Rashtra TV aims to deliver credible and impactful journalism to a national Hindi audience and is recognized as Goa's first satellite-based national Hindi news channel.

Journalist Utpal Chowdhary has joined Rashtra TV, Goa as Consultant Editor.

With over 30 years of experience in journalism, Utpal has held senior editorial roles at some of India’s most respected news organizations. He began his career with Nalini Singh and Aaj Tak, later serving as Executive Editor at Star News and ABP News, and most recently as Head of Input at India TV.

He was earlier associated with Sapphire Media Group (which operates 92.7 Big FM, Janbawana, and digital platforms), where he served as Chief Managing Editor, before moving on to take up this new role at Rashtra TV.

At Rashtra TV, he is expected to play a key role in shaping credible, impactful, and people-centric journalism for a national Hindi audience.

Rashtra TV is positioned as Goa’s first satellite-based national Hindi news channel and among the few Hindi news platforms operating outside Delhi. Earlier, Star News had attempted to operate from Mumbai before eventually shifting its base to Delhi.

This vision has been curated by veteran journalist Sandeep Kerkar along with Gautam Kharangate, CEO, both of whom bring extensive experience across multiple media organizations.
