Ameesh Rai has joined Network18, taking charge of the Hindi desk at Moneycontrol as Deputy Editor.
Prior to this move, Rai was associated with the India Today Group’s TAK cluster (UP Tak and News Tak), where he served as Associate Executive Producer. He recently stepped down from that role.
At Moneycontrol Hindi, Rai has assumed responsibility for leading the editorial direction of the platform. In a social media post, he stated that his focus will be on stories that are closely linked to India or have a direct impact on Indian audiences. These include domestic economic policies, corporate developments, political events, elections, government decisions, and international matters related to India’s trade, diplomacy and geopolitical interests.
With around 16 years of experience in journalism, Rai has previously worked with organisations such as Dainik Jagran, Times Internet and Magnon. He brings extensive experience across print, television and digital media, along with expertise in content localisation and Hindi content development.
