Elon Musk has made a $97.4-billion for OpenAI, as per news reports.
The offer has been made by the consortium led by Musk for the non-profit that controls OpenAI.
This has renewed Musk's tensions with OpenAI CEO Sam Altman who took to X rebuffing the offer and instead proposing to buy 'Twitter' for the same amount.
no thank you but we will buy twitter for $9.74 billion if you want

Musk was also a Co-founder of OpenAI with Altman but left before the company was launched.
This comes after the recent move by newly sworn-in US President Donald Trump officially establishing the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) as a federal entity. This initiative, led by Elon Musk, aims to streamline government operations and slash costs, potentially redefining public sector management.
