Mark Coad and Leigh Terry, two of the most senior figures in Australian advertising, have exited from their leadership roles at IPG Mediabrands following the company’s recent acquisition by Omnicom. Their exit comes just ahead of Omnicom unveiling broader changes across its creative and media operations.
Coad, who previously led Omnicom’s agencies OMD and PHD, joined IPG Mediabrands in 2020 after a long tenure at Omnicom. Over the past five years, he has overseen the company’s operations in Australia, helping to shape its growth and strategy in the region.
Kristiaan Kroon, who recently became CEO of Omnicom Media Group Australia, now heads the organisation. Terry’s position as APAC CEO at IPG Mediabrands was reportedly overlapping with Tony Harradine’s responsibilities at Omnicom.
