Shashi Sinha has been named Strategic Advisor of Omnicom Media India, sources have told e4m. Sinha was earlier the executive chairman of IPG Mediabrands.
Among other major appointments, Kartik Sharma has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Omnicom Media India, while Amardeep Singh will take on the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The move comes amid Omnicom’s post-merger restructuring and reorganisation strategy following the acquisition of Interpublic Group (IPG). The new leadership is expected to steer the combined entity’s India business, oversee agency integrations, and chart growth strategy for the expanded network in the world’s fastest-growing major ad market.
Industry insiders say the elevation reflects Omnicom’s emphasis on stability in a turbulent transition, giving senior management direct oversight over operations, client service and talent realignment.
The appointments are likely to be formally announced on the company’s India portal in the coming days; Omnicom declined comment for now.
