At exchange4media, we often hear industry conversations long before they take formal shape. Over the past few weeks, multiple sources had indicated the leadership direction Omnicom Advertising India was likely to take but we chose not to publish those details until we had official confirmation. In a market where speculation easily masquerades as news, we waited for concrete documentation rather than contribute to noise.

Now, with Sean Donovan’s internal memo in hand, the leadership picture is not just clearer, it is officially validated. And with that, we can state with certainty that three leaders will define the new Omnicom Advertising India charter: Prasoon Joshi, Aditya Kanthy and S. Subramanyeswar (Subbu).

The memo, accessed exclusively by exchange4media, confirms the elevation of Prasoon Joshi to Chairman, Omnicom Advertising India, arguably one of the most influential creative appointments in the newly consolidated organisation. Joshi, already a towering creative figure globally, now takes on a role that positions him at the very top of the new structure.

Alongside him, the memo names Aditya Kanthy as President & Managing Director, Omnicom Advertising India, reporting directly to Donovan. Kanthy will oversee all agency brand CEOs and the central Omnicom Advertising India organisation, steering operations, integration and market strategy.

Completing the top triad is S Subramanyeswar (Subbu), who steps into a dual role as Chief Strategy Officer, OA India and Chief Knowledge Officer, OA Asia. His mandate spans strategy systems, knowledge frameworks, integration of planning excellence and strengthening OA’s creative-intelligence backbone across geographies.

According to Donovan, the collective mandate for these three leaders is straightforward but transformative: leveraging “shared and scaled investments in creativity, knowledge, tools, specialist capabilities and AI platforms” to elevate agency performance across the network.
