Siddhartha Roy has resigned from his position as Chief Executive Officer of Hungama Digital Media Entertainment Pvt. Ltd., bringing an important chapter at the company to an end.
During his time at Hungama, Roy played a key role in expanding and strengthening the company’s digital entertainment offerings across music, video, gaming and new consumer formats. He led efforts to grow Hungama’s presence globally, build large partnerships across telecom, OEM and distribution platforms, and deepen collaborations with content creators and studios. As a result, Hungama today reaches millions of users in over 90 countries, according to a press statement.
Before joining Hungama, Roy was the co-founder of BigAdda, one of India’s early and largest youth-focused digital networks. He has also held senior leadership roles at MTV Networks and Star TV. Throughout his career, he has been closely involved in building digital products, scaling audience engagement and driving innovation in India’s fast-changing entertainment sector.
Commenting on his departure, Roy said that Hungama has been much more than just a professional role for him. He described it as a journey filled with creativity, learning and growth, and expressed his gratitude to the team for their constant support. He added that he will carry the experiences and relationships from this phase into his next chapter.
