The past week showcased significant volatility in the stock performance of major media companies, reflecting a combination of market sentiment and company-specific developments. While some stocks managed to recover by the end of the week, others saw sharp declines, underlining the diverse dynamics of the media industry.

Network18

Network18's stock performance demonstrated resilience. It opened at ₹75.21, the week’s highest, but dropped to ₹70.10 by Thursday, marking its lowest point. However, a strong rebound to ₹73.49 on Friday showcased its ability to stabilize, closing the week at ₹74.10.

ZEEL

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) started strong, opening at ₹135.80 and hitting a high of ₹137.74 on Monday. However, the stock saw a consistent downward trajectory, ending the week at ₹125, its lowest. This decline may indicate challenges in investor sentiment or anticipation of broader industry changes.

ZMCL

Zee Media Corporation Limited (ZMCL) experienced a more subdued week. Opening at ₹19.77, it hit its peak of ₹19.80 on Tuesday but dropped to ₹18.22 on Friday, its lowest. The slight recovery to ₹18.70 at closing suggests limited momentum in the stock.

TV Today

TV Today’s share price opened at ₹206.21 and spiked to ₹213.14 on Tuesday before dropping back to ₹206.40 the same day. The lowest point of ₹203.06 came on Thursday, but the stock closed the week at ₹206.99, indicating a stable end after midweek fluctuations.

NDTV

NDTV showed a consistent downward trend. After opening at ₹172.14 and peaking at ₹173.45 on Monday, the stock steadily declined, closing at ₹162.80 on Friday, its lowest point for the week. This consistent drop could point to investor caution or external pressures on the company.

Jagran Prakashan

Jagran Prakashan's stock opened at ₹86.94, hitting its peak of ₹87.21 on Monday. It gradually fell to its lowest at ₹83.50 on Thursday. The limited movement suggests a relatively stable week compared to others in the sector.

HT Media

HT Media opened at ₹24.53 and saw a brief spike to ₹25.61 midweek. However, it closed at ₹23.29 on Friday, its lowest for the week. The decline underscores challenges in sustaining momentum despite the midweek high.
