Radhe Shyam Adidam has been appointed as SMB Revenue Operations lead for Entertainment and Sports at Jiostar, bringing over 16 years of experience across global MNCs and disruptive startups. His extensive expertise spans Strategy & Operations, Technology & Data, Revenue & Growth, Monetization, Partnerships, Hyper-Scaling, and Business Transformation.

Previously, Adidam held senior leadership roles at Disney+ Hotstar, where he led multiple teams across Ad Operations, Tech Partnerships, and Monetization Initiatives. He was instrumental in establishing the Ad Operations Center of Excellence, enhancing ad monetization via programmatic partnerships, and pioneering the use of Generative AI for ad innovations. Prior to this, he was a Vice President at Swiggy, overseeing Delivery Operations across India’s 500+ cities during a period of intense growth. He also served in global roles at Meta and SunEdison, focusing on Customer Experience Strategy and International Business Development.

With broad experience across B2C, B2B, and B2G businesses, Adidam has successfully led teams and initiatives in Media & Entertainment, AdTech, eCommerce, Consumer Internet, and CleanTech across markets in India, APAC, and EMEA.

On November 14, Reliance Industries Limited (RIL), Viacom18 Media, and The Walt Disney Company finalized a joint venture (JV) that marks a significant turning point in India’s media and entertainment landscape. Approved by the NCLT Mumbai, the Competition Commission of India, and other global regulatory bodies, this JV merges the media assets of Viacom18 and JioCinema with Star India, creating a media conglomerate valued at approximately Rs 70,352 crore (US$8.5 billion).

RIL has invested Rs 11,500 crore (US$1.4 billion) to fuel the JV's growth, which is controlled by RIL with a 56% stake. Disney holds a 36.84% share, and Viacom18 contributes 46.82%, forming one of India's largest media entities. The powerhouse combines popular entertainment brands like Star, Colors, JioCinema, and Hotstar under one roof. It will manage over 100 TV channels, produce more than 30,000 hours of content annually, and boast a combined digital subscriber base of over 50 million.
