Former Union Minister Smriti Irani has been appointed National General Secretary, while former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia and senior BJP leader Ram Madhav have been appointed National Vice Presidents. The new national team includes 13 National Vice Presidents and 8 National General Secretaries. The party has attempted to maintain organizational and regional balance by including leaders from various states and regions.
The new team includes Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Tirath Singh Rawat, Ram Madhav, Baijayant Jai Panda, D. Purandeshwari, Rekha Verma, Varshaben Narendrabhai Doshi, Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar, Manpreet Singh Badal, Lal Singh Arya, Prof. M. Nagaraja, Prof. Tariq Mansoor and Dr. Madhuchandra Kar as National Vice Presidents.
BL Santosh will continue as National Organization General Secretary, while Shivprakash has been given the responsibility of National Co-Organization General Secretary.
Smriti Irani has been appointed National General Secretary and given charge of Uttar Pradesh. Her appointment is being seen as a significant step in the BJP's new organizational team.
