Patanjali Foods’ FMCG business posted a 35.39% year-on-year increase in revenue to ₹2,937.75 crore in Q1 FY27, with the company maintaining a focused approach to advertising and sales promotion while stepping up brand building, portfolio expansion and distribution.

Advertising and sales promotion investments accounted for around 1% of revenue from operations during the quarter. Patanjali Foods said it adopted a focused approach to maximise the effectiveness of this spending and deliver measurable results.

The company’s FMCG segment contributed 25.65% of consolidated revenue and 29.56% of consolidated EBITDA, generating EBITDA of ₹189.52 crore at a margin of 6.45%. For Patanjali Foods as a whole, revenue from operations rose 29.33% year on year to ₹11,337.45 crore, marking its fourth consecutive highest-ever quarterly revenue, according to CEO Sanjeev Asthana.

The company said Q1 performance was supported by sustained brand-building efforts and focused distribution expansion initiatives, particularly across its Edible Oils and Biscuits businesses. It is also investing in brands and expanding its product portfolio across categories, price points and segments to address a wider range of consumer preferences.

The biscuits business remained a key contributor to FMCG growth, with revenue reaching a record ₹560.14 crore, up 27.33% year on year and 17.21% sequentially.

Doodh, which Patanjali Foods describes as a ₹1,300 crore brand, generated approximately ₹400 crore in quarterly revenue. Value-added biscuits also continued to gain traction, giving the company another growth platform within its FMCG portfolio.

Nutrela, the company’s textured soya products brand, reported revenue of ₹159.55 crore in Q1, with EBITDA margins of more than 18%. Sales of textured soya products increased 14.31% year on year and 49.97% sequentially.

The company’s efforts to widen consumer occasions also extended to beverages, which generated ₹37.99 crore in Q1. Summer-focused launches during the quarter included Mango Chutney, Mango Panna Juice and Orange Juice.

Ghee generated ₹219.09 crore, while other food categories including honey, dry fruits, spices and condiments, herbal products and other food products together generated ₹202.94 crore.

In Home and Personal Care, revenue reached ₹629.16 crore. Dental Care contributed ₹325.42 crore, followed by Skin Care at ₹164.82 crore, Home Care at ₹82.98 crore and Hair Care and Other Products at ₹55.95 crore. Skin Care was the fastest-growing category among these, increasing 21.81% year on year.

Alongside brand investments, Patanjali Foods is continuing to expand its physical distribution network. Asthana said integrated sourcing, operational efficiencies, cost management, manufacturing and supply-chain investments, together with improved execution, helped the company navigate the operating environment.
