  • The BJP has appointed Deepak Mhaske as the new social media convener, replacing Amit Malviya, as part of a reorganization ahead of upcoming state elections.
  • Mhaske will collaborate with co-convenors Priti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt, and Arun Yadav in his new role.
  • Anil Baluni has been designated as the media coordinator, overseeing the party's media and communications strategy, supported by joint coordinators Ashish Usha Agarwal, Pradeep Bhandari, and Siddharth Yadav.
  • Mhaske, a first-generation BJP leader from Raipur, Chhattisgarh, has nearly 15 years of experience in the party's IT and social media operations and has contributed to successful digital campaigns in various state elections.

The BJP has revamped its national organisational team, naming Deepak Mhaske as the party’s new social media convener as it gears up for elections in several states. Mhaske replaces Amit Malviya, who previously held the position.

Mhaske will work alongside social media co-convenors Priti Gandhi, Shivanand Dwivedi, Alok Bhatt and Arun Yadav.

The party has also handed Anil Baluni responsibility for its media and communications strategy. Baluni has been appointed media coordinator and will be supported by joint coordinators Ashish Usha Agarwal, Pradeep Bhandari and Siddharth Yadav.

A native of Raipur in Chhattisgarh, Mhaske holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree and has spent nearly 15 years working with the BJP’s IT and social media operations.

Over the years, he has been involved in the party’s digital campaigns during several state elections, including in Bihar, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal, where the BJP emerged victorious.

Mhaske comes from a family with an agricultural background and is a first-generation BJP leader. His brother, Tej Pratap Mhaske, is associated with the RSS. Mhaske himself has never contested an election.
