Q2 FY25: NDTV clocks 17% YoY growth in revenue at Rs 112 crore

NDTV has posted total revenue of Rs 112 crore in Q2 FY25. This is 13% higher than Rs 99 crore recorded in the same quarter last year. The revenue from operations stood at Rs 111.3 crore in the Jul-Sep quarter, which was a growth of 16.2% compared to Rs 95.5 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter last year. According to the media group, this performance is driven by NDTV's enhanced content strategy, an expanding portfolio of intellectual properties (IPs), and strategic digital initiatives.
The media conglomerate spent Rs 44.8 crore on marketing, distribution and promotion during the quarter ended 30 September 2024, marking a 6.2% QoQ increase. The marketing expenditure stood at Rs 20.8 crore in the same quarter last year.
In a press statement stated, “NDTV's digital presence continues to expand at an accelerated pace, reflecting its commitment to delivering high-quality news across languages.”
In August 2024, the Hindi platform saw a 24% rise in traffic, while the English platform grew by 41% compared to August 2023. Further cementing its leadership in the digital space, NDTV's English YouTube channel captured the highest viewership in the English news category in September, outpacing its competitors.
