Hindi GEC overall impressions grew by 1.66%: BARC Week 11
Hindi viewership in the rural market has witnessed a decrease in impressions of 3.72% in week 11 whereas in urban markets the impressions saw a rise of 0.11%.

In COVID-19 first week, Hindi general entertainment channels witnessed a rise of 1.66% in the total impressions of week 11 to 5437204 (000s) impressions as compared to 5348583 (000s) impressions in week 10 as per Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India.
Meanwhile Hindi GEC total impressions in urban has increased by 0.11% to 2889612 (000s) impressions as compared to 2892718 impressions in previous week whereas total impressions in rural market has gone down by 3.72% to 2492923 (000s) impressions as compared to 2589190 (000s) impressions in last week.
Hindi (U+R) (all platforms)
Dangal continued to lead the Hindi GEC (U+R) segment with 1230937 (000s) impressions followed by Sony Sab on the second position with 731221 (000s) impressions and Star Plus on the third spot with 652299 (000s) impressions. Colors and Big Magic bagged fourth and the fifth spots with 600185 (000s) and 562982 (000s) impressions respectively.
Dangal’s Mahima Shanidevi ki is the leading show in week 11 with 15664 (000s) impressions followed by other show on the same channel, Devi Adi Parashakti 14645 (000s) and Baba Aiso Var Dhundo bags the third spot with 14395 (000s) impressions. Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya bagged fourth spot with 13841 (impressions) and Dangal’s Pyaar Ki Luka Chhupi on fifth spot with 12903 impressions respectively.
Hindi GEC Urban
Sony Sab continues to maintain its top slot with 515078 (000s) impressions followed by Star Plus on the second position with 442240 (000s) weekly impressions. Colors and Sony Entertainment Television bagged the third and fourth spots with 421994 (000s) and 358911 (000s) impressions respectively. Zee TV stood at the fifth spot with 307502 (000s) impressions.
In the top five programmes, ZeeTV’s Kundali Bhagya bagged the top slot with 7997 (000s) impressions followed by Colors’ Fear Factor- Khatron Ke Khiladi on the second spot with 7686 (000s) impressions and Sony Entertainment Television’s India Best Dancer bagged the third spot with 6684 (000s) impressions and The Kapil Sharma Show stood at fourth spot with 6626 Impressions. Sab TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma bagged the fifth spot with 6610 (000s) impressions.
Hindi GEC Rural
In the rural market, Dangal TV led the top ten channel list with 945781 (000s) impressions followed by Big Magic on the second position with 438075 (000s) impressions and Zee TV on the third spot with 222179 (000s) impressions. Sony Sab and Star Plus bagged the fourth and fifth spot with 216143 (000s) and 210059 (000s) impressions respectively.
In the top five programmes, all the slots were bagged by Dangal TV’s shows. Mahima Shanidev Ki is the number one show with 12673 (000s) impressions followed by Devi Adi Parashakti on second with 11751 (000s), Baba Aisa Var Dhundo on third with 11322 (000s) impressions. Pyaar Ki Luka Chhupi and Bandini are in fourth and fifth spot with 9928 (000s) and 8908 (000s) impressions respectively.
