BARC Week 28: Star Plus overtakes Zee TV to reclaim top spot in Hindi GEC

Star Plus made a comeback to lead Hindi GEC collectively for BARC Week 28 (July 8–14). The same channel and Zee Anmol led urban and rural market, respectively

According to BARC data for week 28 (July 8–14), Star Plus took the top spot collectively in the Hindi GEC category with 629 million impressions. It was followed by Zee TV with 623 million impressions and Rishtey with 545 million impressions.

 

Star Plus continued to dominate the urban market with 429 million impressions. Meanwhile, Zee Anmol took over Rishtey to rule the rural market in the same week with 426 million impressions.

 

Urban Market

Star Plus maintained its hold over the urban market with an improved 429 million impressions, compared to 414 million impressions it had in Week 27.

 

Zee TV retained its second spot with 369 million impressions as against the 373 million impressions it garnered the previous week. 

 

Colors maintained its third spot with 344 million impressions as against the 350 million impressions it fetched in Week 27.

 

Sony SAB also held on to its fourth spot with 279 million impressions as against the 285 million impressions it fetched the previous week.

 

Sony Entertainment Television stayed on its fifth position with improved 273 million impressions as against previous week’s 284 million impressions.

 

 




Rural Market

 

Zee Anmol returned to lead the rural market with 426 million impressions. 

 

Rishtey slipped to second spot with 406 million impressions.

 

Sony Pal maintained its third spot with 379 million impressions.

 

Zee TV held on to its fourth spot with 253 million impressions.

 

Star Utsav retained its fifth spot with 219 million impressions.
