Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat programme has generated a revenue of Rs 34.13 crore since it began, the government informed the Rajya Sabha on August 8.

In a written response, the Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, L. Murugan, explained that the programme reaches its audience through a mix of traditional and digital platforms. He added, “Mann Ki Baat programme is produced by Akashvani leveraging existing in-house resources without additional expenditure and has earned a revenue of Rs 34.13 crore since its inception.”

Launched on October 3, 2014, Mann Ki Baat is primarily broadcast on Akashvani (All India Radio), which airs the programme live across its national and regional networks. To cater to diverse audiences, regional language versions are also available. Additionally, the programme is shown on Doordarshan’s national and regional channels, and 48 Akashvani radio channels are available on DD Free Dish, along with 92 private television channels, making it accessible even in remote areas.

The programme is also live-streamed and archived on YouTube channels such as PMO India, AIR, and Prasar Bharati's OTT platform WAVES, as well as on the NewsOnAIR mobile app, which provides access to over 260 Akashvani channels.

Murugan also mentioned, “It is also made available on the news feed service of Prasar Bharati, PB SHABD, to facilitate wider dissemination across affiliated platforms and channels.”

Moreover, the programme is accessible to audiences in India and worldwide via social media platforms like Meta, X and Instagram.
